Thanksgiving & Advent
I have not blogged in a while for various reasons, one being I was knee deep in the Book of Ephesians for 8 weeks. It seems as if a myriad of seasons have passed since my last blog post. At least in my area the season of extreme heat is gone and we are experiencing traces of fall here and there.
I am astounded Thanksgiving is day after tomorrow and Advent begins Sunday. I certainly hope the turkey thaws in time, I forgot to transfer it from the freezer to the refrigerator last night.
I am so thankful for many things this year which has been a hard year in many ways but filled with so many God moments and answered prayers.
I pray your Thanksgiving is a wonderful day and we remain focused on our Heavenly Father and the gift of His Son as opposed to the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
