Alone vs. Not Alone

I was sitting at the drive through window last Friday at Chick Fil A, waiting for my chargrilled chicken garden salad. (I highly recommend them, 1 order easily makes 2 meals.) A young woman working at the window was talking when a male employee who was filling a cup with Diet Coke spun around and said, "Why would you sleep with him, he hates you?" The woman said, "Because I don't want to be alone." The man said, "But you are alone, he hates you and you are even more alone after you have sex."

I almost started crying for 2 reasons, this young woman who appeared to be 18 or so was making foolish choices because she was so confused about love, she may not know the Lord, if she does know Him - she may not have a clue He has plans for her, plans to prosper her....the young man also appeared to be 18 or so - what wisdom for such a young person...he spoke to her in truth and love, no reproach, no self righteousness, no Pharisee...

I sat there and prayed as I waited for my order. When the young lady crosses my mind, I pray for her some more.

It is my hope she is saved, healed, and transformed by the love of Christ Jesus! I am also praying for someone else to accept Jesus as Lord, if you are so called - please pray Chris accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior.

If there is anyone you need salvation prayer for, write the 1st name in comments. I can post of list of people we love and want to enter the Kingdom.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.

You have such a tender heart Annette. I'd like to add Peter to the list.
Thanks so much.

I love your heart! That is so sad. Oh that all would know the love of Christ that is higher and deeper and wider and stronger than anything our eyes can see. When she comes to mind I will pray for her too!
