August 2009

It's the 1st Monday in August, hard to believe 2009 is almost over. 2009 has not been the best year for me; but it has been filled with numerous blessings and much joy mixed in with the grief of losing my earthly father.

So many of my friends have faced extreme trials from the death of their marriages to the death of their children, spouses, or jobs.

Please know, your Savior really does know how you feel. He experienced every trial and disappointment while here on earth.

Let us be like Jesus and abide and remain in our Father. The One Who loves us perfectly and wholly. As hard as it may be for you, ask trusted friends to pray with you and for you. Stay in the Word and get a little praise on.

Let God know you are angry, hurt, confused....it's no surprise to Him, confessing it will bring healing to you.

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

You are SO right. It is no surprise to Him. He knows our hearts better than we do. I so often tell others that it is in the giving to the Lord your true feelings that He can fill you up with His goodness. He knows them already...Amen to this post....so much in this life to endure. So glad that this life is not all there is!
