Happy Monday

Years ago I had a coworker named Lois Ann, she was a very funny lady, intelligent, knew the business inside and out and was a great mentor to younger people in the office. She hated Mondays because she had 1 client in particular who would begin calling the office 15 minutes before we opened. 2 of us came in 30 minutes early to have everything ready to go for the day and usually we took the answering service off as soon as all the computers were up and running, the printers were ready and we had called the home office where much of what was printed was generated and let them know we were ready. On Mondays we took the answering service off precisely at 8:00am. This one man set the tone for the morning on Mondays...

Aren't you glad, through Jesus Christ we can reset the tone by the minute if need be! Through Jesus our attitudes, our hearts, our minds, our circumstances can change. He brings peace, healing, love, forgiveness, dying to self, holiness, grace, mercy, wisdom and much, much more.

If you need a little adjusting call on Him, His word tells us:

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

Let us endeavor to remain focused on the Lord and consider the fact Monday is really Tuesday Eve.

too true! Here's hoping you have a blessed day! It's Jessi's 21st birthday today so we will hopefully be celebrating all day. (big dinner tonight.) I did a video for her (since I did one for Jonathan) and she seemed to like it. It's up on the blog.

Have fun today!

love,
karen

What hit me from reading your post was that I too could be someone that sets either a good tone or a bad tone for others...especially as the mother I often set the tone of our home! May Christ always lead me to set a loving tone! Great post!

I like that perspective--Tuesday Eve! What a great Resource we have to turn our mood back to kindness just with the calm that He provides, the Words that can change a moment or a day! Great post. Love, Annette G
