Blogging vs Facebook

I am sort of stealing Ang's title for this post, though I transposed blogging and Facebook. My cousin asked me to join Facebook, so I did - and in case you wondered, when I was young if he had asked me to jump off a bridge with him, I would have. Wayne and I were inseparable and probably caused our mother's to grey early, though due to the fact his mother was a beautician, we never really knew what colour their hair was.

I am not enamored with Facebook yet, I may be...but for now, I prefer blogging. I did find a classmate on Facebook, 1 of the only people in my class I was never friends with for no particular reason. Didn't dislike her, didn't like her either. We both entered our school in 5th grade. Since we sat alphabetically, she was way across the room, maybe that's why we were never friends.

I am going to Matagorda to plant lots of Bluebonnets this weekend. The rodeo parade is in Houston tomorrow and in the typical parade weather, it's 80 today and will be damp, cool, and rainy tomorrow as all the trailriders and floats parade downtown.

Has anyone chosen their next Siesta Memory Verse? I think I am going with:

Eph 4:2-3

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Have a great weekend!

Love, Annette

Your scripture verse is a high calling, isn't it? Only by the grace of God! I am on Facebook to stay connected with my son out in CA more...and keep up on the kids...surprisingly they accepted me as a friend! LOL! Sometimes I fuss in my mind about ALL of it...but I figure communication is good! Have a great Friday!

I joined facebook just to keep up with my grandkids. Don't really use it much. You can spend so much time on the computer......
I do prefer blogger. I like to write.

I have mixed feelings about facebook as well. But I like playing scramble and the other word games.

I just did my verse...Isaiah 33:2. It's fun having all these verses rattling around in my head. (at least there's something rattling around up there!) I also just put up the March reading schedule. Cutting it a little close I suppose.

Hope you enjoy the weekend!
love,

I really never imagined I would be doing either blogging or facebook. I saw one of the younger siestas comments on facebook and she said, "can you imagine a world without facebook?" Well, yes, I can, actually. I have loved meeting people on blogger, and do the facebook thing mostly to stay up with my kids, but it is a new day in communication--that is certain. I am sticking with my theme of contentment for the year and picked Psalm 90:14 for my verse. "Oh, satisfy us early with Your mercy that we may rejoice and be glad all our days!" Blessed Sunday to you. Time for me to get ready for church! Love, Annette G

Hey, I am checking this blog using the phone and this appears to be kind of odd. Thought you'd wish to know. This is a great write-up nevertheless, did not mess that up.
