The Original Spice Girls

So many people have the opinion God the Father Almighty hates women and created us to be 2nd class citizens. If that is a fact, why did He trust women to prepare Jesus' body after the Passover and why did women, the original spice girls, discover He was not in the tomb? If God, thinks women are 2nd class citizens don't you think men would have discovered the tomb was empty?

John 20:

1Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance. 2So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"
3So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. 4Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. 6Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, 7as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen. 8Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. 9(They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)

Anyone who says that hasn't thouroughly read the scriptures! Just because we have different roles and are under authority doesn't make us less...so many cannot comprehend the beauty of His plan. It IS neat that women were the first to discover His resurrection! And Magdalene the first to speak with HIm afterward!

We see in so many incidents that Christ had no prejudice. Of course He didn't. Perfection would not be biased. We see it also in His coming through Samaria to tell the Samaritan woman at the well all about her life, and allow HER to proclaim the Gospel first to the Gentiles. I love Scripture and the details that help us to see and be more like Him. Blessed Easter season to you, my dear friend. Love, Annette G
