Debate

We have another debate tonight between Senators Obama and McCain. I doubt it will be as cordial as the debate between Gov Palin & Senator Biden. I am not sure I am up to watching it tonight. No matter who says what, whether I agree with the opinions or not, I become tense watching the debates.

I pray the following over the debate:

For truth to be told
All lies to be uncovered
Any hidden agenda to come to light
For the moderator to be fair and remain neutral
I pray if American people are deceived about their candidate, the blinding scales of deception come off their eyes.

If you plan on watching or do watch it, post your comments.

I have decided not to watch. As I took my concerns to the LORD (again) this morning, I felt Him nudging my heart and asking me if I doubted that He had this situation under His control. And I know I feed my doubts and worries by following this election so closely. So, I will pray. And trust. And try to rest in HIM because I do not doubt that He has it under control.

love,
karen

Oh dear - I don't like politics. Nobody (in politics)seems to know how to tell the truth anymore. And they are ruled by greed.

I think it's a good thing you are sending out prayers for the politicians and the debate tonight. Perhaps it will finally make a difference in who gets to run the country.

Argh. It's over. I have committed to praying the next 28 days for the following:
Please join me in committing to praying daily (as I know many of you already are) for John McCain and Sarah Palin through Election Day, Nov. 4th. This is not about voting Democratic or Repubican but voting for the candidate who upholds God's principles.

John McCain/Sarah Palin support:

Federal protection of traditional marriage
Prohibiting partial-birth abortion
Making it a crime to cross state lines to obtain abortions for minors
Nomination of Pro-Life Supreme Court Justices
Protection of Israel

John McCain/Sarah Palin oppose:

Teaching of homosexuality in public schools
Expanding laws to permit adoption by homosexual couples

These issues alone are in alignment with God's Word and should be upheld by our nation as followers of Christ.

God bless America!

Tough days. Love, Annette
