Hebrews 1:1 - 4

I hope this blesses you as much as it blessed me this morning:

In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.

The entire passage excites me, but if I had to pick out the most awesome part it would be:
The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. I don't really need to expound on the passage, needless to say, it stands on it's own without the official Annette paraphrase.

I hope everyone has a blessed weekend. Tonight I am planting pumpkin seeds, cilantro for me, dill for butterflies, and dreaming of pansies, violas, snapdragons, lobelia, and all the other fall flowers I plant in late Oct. For the 1st time since June I am getting a hair cut and colour...no more mousy brown roots, by this time tomorrow I will be blonde again! Stay in the word and prayer. God loves you!

Christ sitting down in heaven taking his rightful place at the Father's right hand always strikes me with awe and such reverence and peace. I think I'll have some pumpkins and a fall garden, too. And for anyone else, you have to know how that excites a couple of summer weary Texans! Have a great weekend. Love, Annette
